Services

Retrofit assessment, coordination and design, airtightness testing, and building-physics calculations for London homes – each with a clear scope.

What we do

Assessment, coordination, design and building physics

Our services cover the professional roles that sit around a retrofit – not the installation itself. Each service has its own scope and deliverables, and each can be commissioned on its own or as part of a coordinated project.

01

Retrofit Assessment

A structured survey of how your home is built, heated, ventilated and used – the evidence base for any sensible retrofit plan.

02

Retrofit Coordination

Project-level oversight that links assessment, design, installation and handover, with risk managed at every stage.

03

Retrofit Design

Specifications and details that turn an improvement plan into work an installer can price and build correctly.

04

Air Tightness Testing

A measured pressure test that shows how much air leaks through the building fabric – before works, after works, or both.

05

Condensation Risk Analysis and fRsi Calculations

Thermal modelling of junctions and details to check whether internal surfaces are likely to stay warm enough to avoid condensation and mould.

06

Heat Loss Calculations (and Heat Demand)

Room-by-room design heat loss for sizing heating systems, and annual heat demand for understanding energy use – two different answers to two different questions.

How the services differ

ServiceAnswers the questionTypical outputSite visit?
Retrofit AssessmentWhat is this home like now, and what constrains it?Assessment report and energy dataYes
Retrofit CoordinationHow do we plan and manage the whole project safely?Option evaluation, improvement plan, risk recordsDepends on project
Retrofit DesignExactly what should be installed, and how?Specification and key detailsSometimes
Air Tightness TestingHow much air leaks through the envelope?Test report with measured resultYes
Condensation Risk Analysis / fRsiWill this junction’s internal surface stay warm enough?Thermal model results and fRsi valuesUsually not
Heat Loss CalculationWhat size heating system, and how much energy per year?Room-by-room kW and annual kWhSometimes
Site requirements are confirmed in each quotation.

Who does what

Roles kept distinct

A retrofit assessor records the property. A retrofit coordinator manages the project and its risks. A retrofit designer specifies the measures. Installers build them. Testing and calculations provide evidence at specific points. Keeping these roles clear avoids gaps in responsibility.

What we don’t do

Our boundaries

  • We do not install insulation, windows, ventilation or heating systems.
  • We do not act as principal contractor.
  • We do not guarantee funding, planning or Building Regulations outcomes.
  • We do not provide structural, asbestos or specialist damp surveys – we will tell you when one is advisable.
